Description
This plant start is ready to go in the ground! This Brandywine yellow is an heirloom variety with large sweet yellow fruits and low acidity. We love them sliced with salt or on a big juicy burger!
Planting, Care, and Harvest
Plant 2 feet from each other. Dig a hole in well drained rich soil. You can bury much of the stem when planting as it will grow roots from the stem providing extra stability. This is an indeterminate variety meaning it will grow tall if you let it. Use a tall tomato cage, stake, or trellis. Tomatoes love heat and water but don’t overdo the watering. Full sun.
Allow tomatoes to ripen on the vines as you will see their skin will start to turn from dull to glossy when ready to harvest. Tomato will have deep color but feel firm when gently squeezed.
